Hello Families,
We are certainly living through very interesting times! The Inspire Team is committed to supporting children and families, and never has that been more important than during the challenging times that we are facing right now.
We know that the reality for many families at the moment involves working from home, learning from home and playing at home. And we know that this can be really hard! Lockdown can lead to us all feeling disconnected and isolated. So we have developed a ‘Lockdown Pack’ which will be delivered to every child enrolled at Inspire. Our hope is that this serves as a reminder to both children and families that we are all in this together.
Inspire’s ‘Lockdown Pack’ includes lots of things to keep children busy and provide some fun experiences for them while they are at home. Here is a sneak peak into what is inside each Lockdown Pack…
The Inspire Busy Book
This is filled with many activities that children can do at home, keeping them engaged and busy. There is something in The Lockdown Busy Book for everyone, from cooking, puzzles and craft to science experiments and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) challenges. All About Healthy Minds
We are always looking for ways to support children in building resilience and healthy minds. Inspire’s ‘All About Healthy Minds’ booklet has been developed with the current lockdown situation in mind. It aims to help children develop positive strategies through fun and engaging activities. All About Bees
This booklet has been thoroughly enjoyed by children who have been attending our centres during lockdown – so we wanted to share it with all of our Inspire children. Bees are such fascinating creatures and we trust that children at home, along with their families, will enjoy discovering all about bees. The Inspire Me Chronicles
Showcase your creativity, run away with your imagination and become the author of your own story. This year, children can enter Inspire’s annual creative writing competition from home. And for the first time ever, we are also inviting parents to have a go!Virtual Games
I am incredibly excited to be joining Emily in hosting ‘Virtual Games’ for our Inspire children. These fun-filled Zoom sessions will provide children a chance to connect with other Inspire children as they participate in lots of great group games.
We are definitely missing all of the wonderful Inspire children who are currently staying at home, and we very much look forward to the day when we can all be back at Inspire together. But until then take care, have fun and stay safe!
